League threatens offenders among Al Ahly and Zamalek fans with penalties

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association is moving towards reviewing the reports from referees and observers of the recent Cairo derby match, with the aim of identifying the offensive chants that came from the stands. This comes according to journalist Khaled El Ghandour, who cited a source from the association, in preparation for determining the fan transgressions.

Khaled El Ghandour has explained through his program, Stadium Al Mehwar, that penalties will be imposed for any misconduct witnessed during the match by the fans of Al Ahly FC and Zamalek SC alike.

Regarding the official complaint filed by Zamalek SC to demand punishment for those responsible for the offensive chants, a statement attributed to the clubs' association clarified that the investigation and monitoring mechanisms within the competitions management are automatically activated to detect any deviations in the stands, without the need to wait for requests or complaints from the affected parties.

He concluded his statements by affirming that the association stands at an equal distance from all clubs, and that full commitment to applying the terms of the penalties regulation is the only way to maintain sportsmanship and values within Egyptian stadiums.
