Ayman Younes: Al Ahly won the Cairo derby by luck
Ayman Younes, former star of Egyptian football, confirmed that Al Ahly FC won against Zamalek in the Cairo derby played on Sunday evening in the Egyptian League by luck.
Al Ahly FC secured a 2-0 victory against Zamalek on Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the sixth round of the Egyptian League.
Ayman Younis stated in remarks via "On Sport" channels: "Al Ahly FC were lucky to win; just look at the first goal, it was clear luck, and the second goal came during Zamalek's pressure in the second half."
He added: "Moataz Jamal took a technical risk and unfortunately it was negative; there was no harmony, and luck was absent for Zamalek today."
He concluded his statements by referring to the controversial moment involving Al Ahly FC player Marwan Ateya and Zamalek striker Chico Banza, emphasizing that the midfielder clearly pushed the striker inside the penalty area in a foul that warranted a clear penalty kick, expressing his astonishment at the officiating crew's complete disregard for awarding a penalty in favor of the white team.
