Statements from Amouta after victory over Zamalek

Al-Hussein's coach, Hussein Amouta, spoke about his team's victory over Zamalek on Sunday evening in the Egyptian League.

Al Ahly FC secured a 2-0 victory over their traditional rivals Zamalek at Cairo International Stadium in the sixth round of the Egyptian League.

Al-Hussein Amouta said during the press conference: "The Cairo derby between Al Ahly FC and Zamalek is always tough, the match was very difficult due to the players returning from national teams, our victory was deserved, especially after scoring two goals."

The Moroccan coach added: "I thank the fans of Al Ahly FC who attended the match, the players for their focus, and the management for providing us with all the support."

He continued: "We had a style of play from the start of the match, Tawfik Mohamed and Achraf Dari, two new faces for participating in the match against Zamalek, but they both performed wonderfully."

He added: "We have put together a program during the international break, and we played 3 friendly matches. There are players like Achraf Dari and Tawfik Mohamed, we worked on preparing them, especially since there are some serious injuries in the defense line."

Amouta confirmed in his statements: "We need Mohamed El Shenawy and Shobair, both are extremely important for us. Mostafa Shobair is Egypt's first-choice goalkeeper, but we must not forget what Mohamed El Shenawy has provided over long periods with Al Ahly FC and the Egypt national team."

Al Ahly FC's coach continued: "In the second half, we needed some changes, and we brought on Mounsef Bakrar and Omar El Saai. Some may feel that Emam Ashour did not perform at the required level, but he had a good match."
