Kievo: We must work hard and give everything to win every match
Christian Chivu, the head coach of Inter Milan, spoke at a press conference today ahead of tomorrow's match against Parma in Serie A. The match is part of the sixth round of the competition.
Kievo confirmed, in statements published by the club's official website, the necessity of continuing to work and exerting maximum efforts to achieve victories, stressing the importance of treating every match seriously and not underestimating any opponent.
Inter's coach has explained that he will not take risks with the fitness of players returning from international duty, given the pressure of matches in the upcoming period. He noted that the coaching staff will assess the number of minutes each player has played, along with the nature of the opponent and the balance required within the team, before determining the appropriate lineup.
Regarding the formation, Kievo emphasized that the principles of play are more important than the tactical drawing, explaining that playing with three or four defenders does not guarantee victories on its own, and that he prefers to take advantage of his players' characteristics and the flexibility to deal with match conditions.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu is ready after returning to team training, and Jed Spence has joined the squad following his recovery and return to training.
Regarding the competition for the Serie A title, Kievo refused to engage in early discussions about the identity of the competitors, confirming that it is still too early to judge the course of the season after only five rounds.
Inter wants to maintain its competitiveness and achieve its goals, but this requires fighting and continuous work. It stressed the importance of improving defensive details without abandoning the team's identity and style of play.
