The regional administrative court in Milan has rejected all appeals against the sale of San Siro Stadium and its surrounding areas by the Municipality of Milan to Inter and AC Milan.

The court has issued its decision to reject five appeals filed by associations and citizens since 2022, opposing the sale of the Giuseppe Meazza stadium to the two clubs, paving the way for the new project that Inter and AC Milan intend to implement, including the demolition of the current stadium.

The two clubs are expected to present the final design of the new stadium in about a month, with the initial designs and images to be revealed at the end of October or the beginning of November, before the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy region begin studying the project and the necessary documents to move to the implementation phase.

According to the current plan, construction work is targeted to start in the second half of 2027, with the new stadium expected to take around four years to complete. The stadium will have a capacity of approximately 71,000 spectators, with the aim of finishing the work by the end of 2031, in preparation for hosting matches from the European Championship 2032.
