Mokwena: Koller is one of the best to have coached Al Ahly FC

Rulani Mokwena, the manager of Pyramids, has confirmed that Swiss coach Marcel Koller is one of the best to have managed Al Ahly FC, noting that Koller faced bad luck regarding the way his contract ended with the Red Club.

In a television interview, it was confirmed that "Koller will be remembered in history as one of the best coaches of Al Ahly FC, Koller faced bad luck regarding the end of his contract with Al Ahly FC, there must be fan support for the coach especially in difficult moments."

He added: "My possession of different ideas does not mean that I am better than others; there are coaches who believe that the match must start from the middle of their pitch. There, technical phrases are developed, and you move your team and the other team. This is what Hans Flick does at FC Barcelona and Kompany at Bayern, as well as Guardiola and De Zerbi."

He continued: "There are also coaches who like the match to start with the ball with the opposing team.. and here their scenarios for facing the opponent begin in different ways.. this is a method followed by José Mourinho.. and it is also applied at Atlético Madrid.. both models have been successful by all measures with Al Ahly FC."
