Farouk Jaafar: Zamalek is going through a tough phase but has strong fan support
Former Zamalek SC star Farouk Jaafar highlighted the significance of the upcoming clash against Al Ahly FC, describing it as a tournament in its own right. He pointed out that the "White Knight" faces the match under complex circumstances and challenges, but the massive fan support the team enjoys serves as a decisive force that can tip the scales in their favor during the game.
Farouk Jaafar explained during his appearance on the program "Ya Masaa Al-Anwar", hosted by the media figure Medhat Shalaby on the "MBC Masr 2" channel, that Zamalek SC fans represent a strong support for the team, pointing out that the fans of the white castle surpass those of other clubs in terms of attendance numbers.
Jaafar discussed the details of the match between Al Ahly FC and Petrol Asyut in the Cairo Capital Cup, highlighting how the 'Red Giant' capitalized on the gaps and spaces in their opponent's defense to convert them into goals. He added that the match clearly reflected the superiority of individual and skill differences in favor of Al Ahly FC players.
He added that players from Al Ahly FC and Zamalek SC possess great experience, as they are accustomed to playing matches under fan pressure and dealing with the various pressures that accompany derby encounters.
