Aliou Dieng nears departure from Valencia in January

Reports suggest that Mali's Aliou Dieng is close to leaving Valencia in the upcoming winter transfer window, as the Spanish club is seriously considering parting ways with the player.

According to "AS", Valencia's management is placing a top priority on clearing a spot in the squad list and freeing up salary budget space so that the club can sign new reinforcements in January.

Valencia are currently focusing their efforts on strengthening their defensive line by signing a new defender, as the holding midfielder coming from Al Ahly FC has not provided the strong contributions and expected level that fans and management were hoping for.

Dieng has joined Valencia on July 7, 2026, from Al Ahly FC, signing a contract with the Spanish club that runs until June 2028.
