Soufiane El-Faouzi jumps to €12 million and becomes Schalke's most expensive player

Moroccan international Soufiane El-Faouzi continues to impress, with his market value rising from €9 million to €12 million according to the latest updates from Transfermarkt, making him the most expensive player at Schalke.

This significant increase reflects the rapid development of the Moroccan player's career in a short period, as his market value did not exceed €200,000 in 2024, before he continued to rise gradually, benefiting from the performances he delivered in the Bundesliga.

Soufiane El-Faouzi has started his career at Sportfreunde Siegen before moving to Paderborn in 2020, then he had an experience with the Fortuna Düsseldorf reserve team after two years. After a stint with Alemannia Aachen, the player arrived at Schalke in 2025, in a deal worth around €200,000.

Since joining Schalke, Soufiane El-Faouzi has established himself within the team, participating in 41 matches across various competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists, gradually becoming one of the key players relied upon by the club in its sporting project.

The difference in market value highlights the transformation the player has undergone in just two years, as his value has risen from €200,000 to €12 million, indicating the progress he has made both technically and competitively.

Soufiane El-Faouzi has become one of Schalke's key assets with his new valuation, as the German club aims to develop talents and provide them with the opportunity to shine, with the potential for a significant financial return from selling them in the future.

The rise of Moroccan player Soufiane El-Faouzi to the international level has also been marked by his impressive performances with Schalke, which earned him the trust of national team coach Mohamed Wahbi, who called him up during the recent international break, allowing him to play his first matches in the Moroccan national team shirt.
