Hermoso close to renewing contract with AS Roma

Reports have revealed that AS Roma are planning to renew the contract of their Spanish defender Mario Hermoso, following the strong performances he has been delivering for the team recently.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, AS Roma have started to move to extend Mario Hermoso's contract, which expires on June 30, 2027, after he has become one of the key players in coach Gian Piero Gasperini's squad.

AS Roma have activated the option to extend Spanish defender Mario Hermoso's contract until the summer of 2027, after he had a good season with the team, participating in 35 matches and scoring 4 goals.

Reports indicate that Mario Hermoso's impressive performances under Gasperini have prompted the club to reconsider his future, with a mutual desire for the player to remain at the Stadio Olimpico for a longer period, although the length of the new contract has not yet been determined.
