Lotito meets Gattuso to discuss SS Lazio situation

Claudio Lotito, SS Lazio's president, met with coach Gennaro Gattuso at the Formello training center in recent hours, in a direct meeting dedicated to discussing the current situation of the team.

According to the newspaper "Corriere dello Sport", Lotito wanted to obtain a candid evaluation from Gattuso about the phase Lazio is going through, as well as to understand the prevailing feelings inside the dressing room and the atmosphere among the players during this period.

During the meeting, Lazio's president requested the coach to pinpoint the main problems that require intervention and resolution, focusing on the players' condition and the readiness of the group to work during the upcoming phase, amid the suspension of competitions due to the international break.

Reports suggest that the meeting may discuss transfer market options, particularly available players without clubs, as the club seeks solutions to strengthen the squad if the coaching staff sees the need.

The match comes as Gattuso leads SS Lazio since taking over in June 2026, succeeding Maurizio Sarri. The coach aims to assess the team's situation and work on addressing the areas that need improvement in the upcoming period.
