Pascal Groß wins Player of the Month award in Premier League for the first time
German Pascal Groß, a player for Brighton, has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month for September, claiming the award for the first time in his career after his remarkable performances throughout the month.
Gros, aged 35, has delivered standout performances, scoring two goals and providing three assists during September matches, contributing to five of his six goal involvements in the Premier League this season, and he currently tops the list of players in terms of goal contributions so far.
Gros is now the sixth oldest player to win the Player of the Month award in Premier League history, behind Stuart Pearce and Teddy Sheringham, who both won the award at the age of 38, Cristiano Ronaldo, who last won it at the age of 37, and Gianfranco Zola at the age of 36.
Gros has matched Paul Scholes' achievement, winning the award at the age of 35, noting that the former Manchester United player was about six months older than Gros when he won it.
