Vinai Venkatesham, the CEO of Tottenham Hotspur, has reiterated his support for manager Roberto De Zerbi, despite the team's difficult start and increasing talk of his potential dismissal.

Tottenham have spent over £300 million on 10 signings this summer but have yet to win any of their first five matches in the Premier League, currently sitting at the bottom of the table. They have also been eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Liverpool.

TEAMtalk reported that Venkatesham confirmed during a meeting with the club's advisory board his confidence in De Zerbi, the new players, and the changes that have been made, noting that it may take time for the results to show.

Tottenham have conducted around 35 operations concerning the first team during the summer, including signings, departures, and contract renewals. However, they have warned that financial regulations may limit the club's movements in the upcoming transfer market.

Venkatesham pointed out that the club has not made a profit since 2019, while wage and transfer costs have risen alongside revenue being affected by the absence of European participation and the team finishing in 17th place for two consecutive seasons.

Tottenham prepare to face Manchester United on October 10 in the Premier League, seeking their first victory of the season.
