Hossam Hassan gives Egypt players a break from training before friendly against South Africa

The Pharaohs' coaching staff, under the supervision of twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, have decided to give the national team players a day off today, Wednesday, following their arrival in the capital. The players are scheduled to resume their gathering in the closed camp by tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming friendly match against South Africa.

Egypt will face South Africa next Sunday, October 4, at Cairo International Stadium in a Friendly.

The Egypt national team departed South Sudan today at 1 PM Cairo time after their match against South Sudan, which ended in a five-goal victory for the Pharaohs, as part of the second round of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027.

The coaching staff aims to utilize the friendly against South Africa to prepare the players and give opportunities to some elements, while also assessing the readiness of all players ahead of upcoming commitments.
