Emam Ashour reveals struggles of Egypt players in Juba

Emam Ashour, star of Al Ahly FC and the Egyptian national team, revealed that the "Pharaohs" faced tough challenges in their recent match against Sudan. He pointed out that the high temperatures, along with playing on the artificial turf of the Juba National Stadium, posed the biggest obstacles for the team during the match.

Emam Ashour, in television statements after the match on Tuesday evening, said that he and his teammates exerted a great effort throughout the 90 minutes, stating: "I changed 3 pairs of shoes and my feet and toes got burned."

It was noted that more than one player in the national team experienced the same situation. He confirmed that the players endured difficult circumstances in order to achieve victory and represent Egypt.

Egypt secured a resounding 5-0 victory over South Sudan on Tuesday at Juba Stadium, in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.
