The newspaper reported that Howe could appear in the accounts of some major English clubs if results worsen, but confirmed that this scenario has not occurred yet, and there is no guarantee that the coach will return to work during the current season, as he will only return to coaching clubs if he receives an exceptional offer.

In contrast, TEAMtalk has confirmed that Manchester United are not planning to sack Carrick at this time, a sentiment echoed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, who indicated that the club has not reached out to any other coaches and that the United management still trusts Carrick.

Romano added that Manchester United sees that the team needs time, especially after rebuilding the midfield during the summer. The club also believes that the majority of players support Carrick's ideas, despite dissatisfaction with recent results.
