Al Ahly FC renews Mohamed El Shenawy's contract until 2028

Al Ahly FC have announced the extension of Mohamed El Shenawy's contract, the team's captain and goalkeeper, to remain with the Red Castle until the 2027-2028 season, after his previous contract was set to expire at the end of the current season.

Mohamed El Shenawy has signed new contracts during a meeting with Essam Sarag, the club's contracts sector head, and Wael Gomaa, the football director.

Al Ahly FC captain expressed his pride in the appreciation he receives from the club and its management, confirming his great gratitude to the team's fans, whom he described as the "backbone and support" for the club and its players.

Mohamed El Shenawy highlighted that Al Ahly FC players feel proud to have such fans behind them, as they represent a constant motivation that drives them to double their efforts and continue competing for more victories and titles.

Mohamed El Shenawy, 37, joined Al Ahly FC in 2016 from Petrojet, and since then he has become one of the team's key players and its captain.

Al Ahly FC has recently renewed the contracts of several players, including Emam Ashour, Mustafa Shobeir, and Marwan Ateya.

During the current season, Mohamed El Shenawy has participated in two matches for Al Ahly FC against El Mokawloon SC and Abo Qir.
