Omar Kamal leaves Al Ahly

Omar Kamal has revealed the details behind his departure from Al Ahly FC. He discussed his reasons for preferring a move to El Mokawloon SC and provided insights into the offer from Pyramids FC.

Omar Kamal stated during an interview on "On Sport": "The reason for leaving Al Ahly FC? I did not get enough opportunity to play regularly with Al Ahly FC, unlike what was happening with the other clubs I played for."

"After confirming that I would not get an opportunity with Al Ahly FC and due to the disagreement with Al-Hussein Amouta, I decided to relieve all parties by taking the step to leave."

He explained: "In the last season with Al Ahly FC, I received promises from the coaches, starting with José Ribeiro and Youssef Torabi, about getting the opportunity, but nothing changed. When I left on loan, I got injured and missed the matches in the second half of the season."

Omar Kamal has stated: "I preferred the option to move to El Mokawloon SC to ensure regular participation and to regain my usual level with the clubs I have played for, as I was significantly affected by not participating at all with Al Ahly FC."

He added: "I was greatly affected by not participating in matches, and I chose to move to El Mokawloon SC because it is a big club, led by a coach who knows me (Sami Komsan), who has previously trained me, and the team's style of play suits me."

Al Ahly FC rejected an offer from Pyramids FC in the January Transfare 2026 for £30 million, stating that this figure is large, especially since I was a substitute player and did not participate regularly, and I had one season remaining on my contract, and I did not cost Al Ahly FC anything during my signing.
