Sudan snatch valuable win against Ethiopia in Africa Cup of Nations Qualification

Sudan achieved a precious victory against their Ethiopian counterparts with a goal to nil in the match that took place today, Friday, at the Juba National Stadium, as part of the first round of Group 10 in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification for 2027.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, with both teams failing to find the net despite their attempts. Sudan continued to search for a breakthrough goal in the second half.

The only goal of the match came in the 86th minute when the Sudan national team was awarded a penalty, which Mo Eisa successfully converted to give his country the lead in the closing minutes.

Sudan maintained their lead until the final whistle, securing a valuable three points in their opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification, while Ethiopia remains without points.
