Senegal held to a draw by Mozambique in their Africa Cup of Nations Qualification opener

Senegal drew 1-1 with their hosts Mozambique on Friday in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification.

Senegal took the lead through Nicolas Jackson in the 33rd minute, after he gave his team the advantage during the first half.

Just before half-time, Mozambique managed to equalize through Geny Catamo in the 2nd minute of stoppage time, ending the first half at 1-1.

The match will witness Senegal's official first appearance under their new coach Patryck Vieira, who took charge of the national team ahead of their campaign in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification.
