Angola player reveals feelings ahead of Mohamed Salah clash

Marsoni Sambo, a player for the Angola national team, has revealed his feelings ahead of facing Mohamed Salah in tomorrow's match in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.

Egypt will face Angola tomorrow, Friday, at Cairo International Stadium in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.

Sambo stated in remarks to the Belgian site "Walfoot" that he feels happiness and pride after achieving his dream of joining the Angolan national team, confirming that all the work he has done over the past years has not gone to waste.

Sambo explained that the dream of representing the Angola national team has been with him for years, despite the difficulty of achieving it. He noted that his team's relegation to the Belgian second division at the end of last season made him believe that his chances of being called up had decreased.

He pointed out that the start of his potential international career with the Angola national team will be a very difficult match against Egypt, as he believes that playing in the capital, Cairo, is a real test considering the expected crowd pressure in stands that exceed a capacity of 70,000 fans.

He added: "The atmosphere will be fitting for the biggest matches, and it will be a change in the pace of play. It is an experience that will make me stronger."

Sambo discussed the possibility of facing Mohamed Salah during the match, highlighting that it would be a different experience for him, as he had previously watched such encounters through video games.

He said: "It is a match I used to watch when I was following my brothers playing on the PlayStation."
