Al Hammadi ruled out of Iraq squad for Gulf Cup due to injury with Qabeel as replacement

Iraq's national team has suffered another blow ahead of the Gulf Cup, with Ali Al-Hamadi confirmed to miss the squad due to an injury sustained during training.

Al Hamadi suffered an injury to his right ankle during the training session that the national team held yesterday, leading the coaching staff to decide to exclude him from the squad and replace him with player Mustafa Qabeel.

Kabeel has been selected following coordination and consultation between the coaching staff of the national and Olympic teams, especially as the player is currently part of the Olympic team in its camp taking place in Serbia.

Qabeel will join the Iraqi national team delegation tomorrow, arriving from Serbia to Jeddah, in preparation for participating with the Lions of Mesopotamia in the Gulf Cup.
