Jeddah opens its doors to Al Khaleej: 14 days of football and stories

Jeddah has welcomed the countdown to the start of the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Gulf 27', which will take place from September 23 to October 6, 2026, with the participation of 8 teams competing in 15 matches over 14 days.

The matches will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, featuring Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, and Yemen, marking Jeddah's first hosting since the tournament began in 1970.

The local organizing committee has completed its preparations to welcome the teams, fans, and media. It has also prepared a comprehensive media guide that includes match schedules, venues, media services, areas for journalists and photographers, and entry and exit routes.

The guide also covers transportation dedicated to journalists, bus schedules, and points of movement and arrival, along with information about Jeddah and its landmarks and services. National competencies participate in organization, media, marketing, hospitality, transportation, and technical operation.

The impact of the 'Gulf 27' extends to various sectors in Jeddah, including hotels, restaurants, cafes, transportation, retail, and tourism, coinciding with the arrival of national team delegations and the start of the referees' camp in preparation for the competitions.
