Mukhtar Ali joins Al Khaleej camp instead of Musab Al-Juwayr

The coaching staff of the Saudi national team, led by Greek Georgios Donis, has summoned Mukhtar Ali to join the Green camp currently held in Jeddah, to compensate for the absence of Musab Al-Juwayr.

The decision to call up Mukhtar Ali came after Musab Al-Juwayr was excluded from the Saudi national team list yesterday for disciplinary reasons, giving the player a new opportunity to participate with the Green.

The Saudi national team continues its preparations for the Gulf Cup 27, which will be hosted in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, with a focus on technical and tactical aspects.

Donis is focusing during the camp on improving player readiness and achieving maximum harmony among them before the start of the competition, in which Al Khaleej is aiming to deliver a strong performance.

The Saudi national team hopes to leverage home advantage and fan support to compete for the Gulf Cup 27 title, having missed out on the podium since the 2003-2004 edition.
