Who is the Algerian Adem Alilet who joined Esperance?

Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis announced today, Saturday, September 19, 2026, that they have completed the signing of Algerian defender Adem Alilet, who is 27 years old, on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Libya.

Adem Alilet has signed a two-year contract with Bab Souika, starting a new experience in the Tunisian league after previous stints in Algeria and Libya.

The player plays as a centre-back and previously represented CR Belouizdad from 2019 to 2026, during which he made 88 appearances in the domestic league, scoring 7 goals. He also won the CAF Confederation Cup 2022-2023 and the CAF Super Cup 2023, along with the Algerian Cup.

In February 2026, Algerian defender Mohamed Amine Tougai moved to Libya's Al-Ittihad for a fee of €450,000, before ending his association with the club by mutual consent, paving the way for his transfer to Espérance in a free deal.

On the international level, Adem Alilet received his first call-up to the Algeria national team for local players in June 2025, continuing his journey that led him to a new experience in Tunisia.
