Messi opened the scoring for Inter Miami in the 29th minute, rising to meet a ball inside the penalty area and heading it into the net, giving his team the lead in the match.

The Argentine star not only scored but also assisted the second goal in the 81st minute, after taking a corner that reached his Brazilian teammate Casemiro, who headed it into the net, confirming Inter Miami's dominance and securing the title.

Lionel Messi has raised his tally to 100 goals for Inter Miami in various competitions, having scored 100 goals in 115 matches since joining the American club in 2023.

The Campeones Cup brings together the champions of Major League Soccer and the Mexican league, with Inter Miami's title adding another trophy to Messi's illustrious career.

Messi has reached his 49th title with this victory, continuing to enhance his historic record of trophies, after playing a direct role in Inter Miami's triumph by scoring and assisting another goal in the final.
