Sami El Sheshiny reveals details of his dismissal against Cleopatra FC

Sami El-Sheshiny, former Zamalek star and director of football at Bank El Ahly, revealed the details of his dismissal during his team's match against Cleopatra FC in the Premier League, explaining that his objections to some refereeing decisions were due to his position and responsibility for the team.

Shishini explained during radio statements on the "Al-Harifa" program on "Radio On Sport FM" that he was surprised by the way referee Mahmoud Abu Al-Rijal dealt with him when he protested one of the incidents during the match.

The director of football at Bank El Ahly has clarified that his protest was part of his usual professional duties, emphasizing his commitment to not disrespect the referee in any way. However, he expressed his surprise at the sudden escalation of the crisis, which ended with him receiving a second yellow card and then a red card.

El Shishini explained that the spark of the situation ignited when he inquired with the referee about his manner of speaking to him, prompting Abu Al-Rijal to order him to sit down and not interfere in their work, which exacerbated the crisis; he emphasized that all he requested was to be treated with respect, firmly denying any verbal abuse or transgression towards the refereeing team before the decision to expel him was made.

Shehiny revealed that his objection was not only due to the manner of speaking but also related to a refereeing incident during the match, after the referee stopped play during a counter-attack by Bank El Ahly due to one of Cleopatra FC's players suffering a muscle strain.
