RS Berkane close to signing Jamal Harkas after Saudi experience

RS Berkane are close to finalizing the signing of defender Jamal Harkas during the current summer transfer window, after both parties reached an agreement regarding the player's transfer to the Berkane team following the end of his stint with Damac Saudi Arabia.

Harkass is expected to undergo medical examinations in the coming hours before completing the administrative procedures and officially signing the contracts, paving the way for the announcement of the deal.

The Moroccan defender had left Wydad Casablanca last summer, heading to the Saudi Pro League to embark on his first professional experience outside Morocco with Damac FC, before his adventure with the team ended and he became a free agent.

This move opens the door for Harkas to return to the Saudi Pro League after a stint with Damac, as he now seeks a fresh start with RS Berkane.

Harkass is 30 years old and has previously defended the colors of Mouloudia d'Oujda, Raja Club, and Wydad Casablanca. He has also worn the jersey of the Moroccan national team earlier in his career.

The defender's name was among RS Berkane's interests during last summer's transfer window, before negotiations between the two parties resumed this summer and are close to reaching a final agreement.
