Renaissance Berkane return with valuable win from Liberia with two goals from Osama Al-Miliwi

Moroccan club RS Berkane secured an important away victory, beating Sierra Leone's Star Sport Academy 2-0 in a match held today, Saturday, at the Samuel Kaito Stadium in Bainsville, as part of the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

The team from Berkane asserted their dominance during the first half, benefiting from a strong start and their ability to control the flow of the game, translating their superiority into two goals scored by their striker Osama El Milioui.

Milioui opened the scoring in the 14th minute, giving the Moroccan representative an early advantage, before the same player returned in the 45th minute to add a second goal, extending his team's lead before the end of the first half of the match.

In the second half, RS Berkane focused on maintaining their lead, while carefully dealing with the attempts of the Sierra Leonean team that sought to reduce the deficit and come back into the match.

Despite the exchanged attempts during the remaining minutes, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle, allowing the Moroccan team to clinch the match with two goals and take an important step towards qualification for the next round.

The return match is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at the municipal stadium in Berkane, where the Moroccan team will have the opportunity to capitalize on their first-leg advantage and secure a place in the next stage of the continental competition.
