Messi continues to shine and wins another award in the MLS

Lionel Messi, the Argentine captain of Inter Miami, has been awarded the Best XI for Matchday 26 of the Major League Soccer, marking the tenth time he has received this honor during the current season.

Lionel Messi was selected after his impressive performance in Inter Miami's 2-2 draw against Nashville SC, where he directly contributed to both of his team's goals. He assisted the equalizer in the 19th minute from a corner that deflected off a Nashville SC defender before finding the back of the net.

The Argentine star returned to give Inter Miami a temporary lead in the 62nd minute, after unleashing a left-footed shot from outside the penalty area that settled in the far corner of the goalkeeper's net, marking his 19th goal in the league this season.

With this goal, Messi has raised his tally to 19 goals in the American league, taking sole possession of the top scorer's position. He has also reached 99 goals for Inter Miami in all competitions since joining the club in 2023.

During the current season, Messi has scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists in 22 matches in the American league, continuing to establish himself as one of the standout stars of the competition.
