Daniel Maldini involved in car accident in Milan

Cagliari forward Daniel Maldini was involved in a car accident in Milan early on Sunday morning, but he did not suffer serious injuries.

According to the Italian news agency 'Ansa', the incident occurred around 5:15 AM local time on Carasholo Street, north of Milan, following a collision between two cars, resulting in six people being injured, including Maldini, with non-serious injuries.

Maldini has been taken to the Fatebenefratelli Hospital for necessary medical checks before quickly leaving the hospital and returning home, after tests confirmed that he is in good health and has not suffered any serious injury.

Daniel Bonfigliolo's lawyer stated in a statement: "After undergoing brief examinations in the emergency department, Daniel was discharged immediately and returned home, and he is in good health," adding that the player "did not suffer any kind of injuries, especially any serious injury."

Maldini had a memorable night before the incident, scoring the decisive penalty in Cagliari's 2-1 victory over Atalanta in Serie A. Local police are still continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident accurately.
