Manchester United await VfB Stuttgart's stance on selling Finn Jeltsch

Manchester United are interested in signing young German Finn Jeltsch, a defender for VfB Stuttgart, as the club seeks new defensive options amid the potential departure of Lisandro Martínez at the end of the season.

TEAMtalk reports that VfB Stuttgart are not planning to sell Finn Jeltsch during the winter transfer window, despite strong competition for his services, and prefer to wait until next summer to secure a significant financial return.

Finn Jeltsch is 20 years old and has played 54 matches, making him a target for several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal.

The player's market value is estimated at around €35 million, and his departure in January will be difficult unless VfB Stuttgart receives a huge financial offer that compels him to change his stance.

Jeltsch excels at playing on the left side of central defence despite being right-footed, making him a candidate to replace Lisandro Martínez, who struggled with injuries and featured in only 19 matches across all competitions last season.

Lisandro Martínez's contract with Manchester United expires at the end of the season, with an option to extend for an additional year. The club is awaiting an assessment of his condition before making a decision regarding his future. If he departs, Finn Jeltsch could be one of the options.
