Kane: We want to finish the league stage in the top position, and Bayern pose a threat to any team

Harry Kane, Bayern Munich's forward, spoke about the big victory over Bodo/Glimt by a score of 5-0 in the match held at Allianz Arena during the first round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.

Harry Kane said: "It is always important to start well. We have a long journey ahead and we want to finish the league phase in the highest position possible. In our first home match, we wanted to deliver a strong performance and send a message in the competition. We faced a well-organized opponent, but it was a good night overall."

Discussing the reasons behind Bayern Munich's failure to win the UEFA Champions League last season, he explained: "Small differences. We were very close last season, the semi-final was decided by very small details. Now we have another year with the coach, and we know his ideas better."

He added: "We are a threat to any team. Humble and hungry, but teams will find it difficult to face us with the ball and without it."

Harry Kane spoke about his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, saying: "I am proud to be nominated alongside my teammates. We won three trophies in Germany, and we were very close to the UEFA Champions League. But it is out of my control and depends on the voters."

He concluded: "It has been a special season on a personal level, but all I can do now is focus on this season."
