Di María holds press conference amid great anticipation at CA Rosario Central

The Argentine Ángel Di María, star of CA Rosario Central, is holding a press conference today, Wednesday, at the club's sports complex in Arroyo Seco, amid anticipation of what the 38-year-old player will announce.

The conference comes days after CA Rosario Central drew 1-1 with Newell's Old Boys in the clásico, as well as the team's exit from the Copa Libertadores against Corinthians, a match that raised doubts about Di María's future with the club.

After the continental elimination, 'Video' hinted at the possibility of reconsidering his future, saying: "Now is the time to think and see what I want to continue doing."

The player later returned and clarified that his statements were made under the influence of frustration, affirming: "I do not give up. This is just a point and a comma, because there is still much to fight for."

CA Rosario Central, led by Gonzalo Belloso, has not disclosed the reason for the press conference, opening the door to various speculations regarding the expected announcement from Di María.

The Argentine star is contracted to CA Rosario Central until the end of June 2027, having played 85 matches and scored 22 goals during his time at the club.

Di María has announced his retirement from international football with Argentina in 2024, following the Copa América title.
