Facing: Three points are the most important thing for Ittihad, and Carille is happy with the competition

Al-Ittihad secured three valuable points after overcoming Al-Faihah 2-1 in their match on Tuesday evening, as part of the sixth round of the Saudi Pro League.

The victory lifted Al-Ittihad to 14 points in third place in the table, while Al-Faih stopped at 5 points, settling the team in eleventh place.

Yenz Vissching, the head coach of Ittihad, confirmed that securing the three points was the most important goal, highlighting the effort his team put in just days after facing Al-Nassr.

Vissing stated during the press conference: "The match was not easy, especially after the tough encounter against Al-Nassr, and the most important thing for us was to achieve victory and secure all the points."

The coach of Al-Ittihad explained that fatigue affected his team, noting that the players failed to capitalize on some opportunities during the first half, before performance improved and the team became more dangerous after the break.

Vissing spoke about Wijnaldum, confirming: "He is a smart player, knows how to act in different situations, and he is also a hungry player. I spoke with him, and he is a great player with a wonderful personality and a leader."

The coach revealed the reason for relying on the entire Ittihad squad, stating that the team needs all its players, especially with the pressure of matches. He pointed out the participation of Reus and Lobi before introducing strikers to secure the encounter.

Vissing stated that the federation is improving from match to match, but noted that the current physical condition of the team does not allow for playing a match every three days. He confirmed that the situation regarding the injured players is not fully clear.

In contrast, Fabio Carille, the manager of Al-Fayha, expressed his satisfaction with his players' performance despite the defeat, confirming that his team showed a good level, especially during the events of the first half.

Karili stated that Al-Fayha had the most possession in the first half and that they were supposed to continue the same approach after the break, noting that his team reached the Al-Ittihad goal on several occasions.

Regarding the penalty awarded to Al-Ittihad, Al-Fayha's coach confirmed his disagreement with the decision, explaining that the ball was the one that went towards the player's hand, not the other way around.

Kariyli believes Al-Fayha's ability to keep up with a team the size of Ittihad is a positive indicator for the future, despite his team leaving the match without any points.
