Haaland leads Manchester City to victory over Porto in UEFA Champions League
Manchester City achieved an important victory against Porto with a score of 2-0 in the match that brought the two teams together on Tuesday evening, as part of the first round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League for the 2026/2027 season, at the Estádio do Dragão.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, before Erling Haaland succeeded in opening the scoring for Manchester City in the 47th minute, rising brilliantly to convert a precise cross from Enzo Fernández with a superb header that found the back of the net against Porto.
Haaland has confirmed Manchester City's victory with a second goal in the 91st minute, completing his personal brace and leading the English team to a win in their opening match of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.
With this result, Manchester City now have 3 points, sitting third in the league stage table, while Porto remains without points in 36th place.
