Injury rules Algeria out of Tetraoui against Zambia, Burundi and Niger

Algeria's Yacine Titraoui will miss upcoming matches for the national team against Zambia, Burundi, and Niger, after suffering a thigh injury that will keep him off the pitch during the upcoming international break.

Algeria will face Zambia and Burundi on September 25 and 29 as part of the first two rounds of Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027, before playing a friendly match against Niger on October 6.

Tetraoui suffered an injury during RC Lens' match against Lorient last Saturday, in the 3rd round of Ligue 1, where he was forced to leave the pitch in the 60th minute.

According to a report from French newspaper «La Voix du Nord», RC Lens midfielder is currently undergoing treatment and will not be able to play any official matches until the end of the international break on October 6.

Tetraoui participated with the Algeria national team in the FIFA World Cup that took place last June, before moving to RC Lens after the end of his summer vacation, where he played four official matches as a starter, including three encounters in Ligue 1 and one match in the domestic cup.
