Before facing Paris, Slovan Bratislava is in a state of uncertainty

Slovan Bratislava, led by Ivorian coach Yaya Touré, are experiencing a tough period ahead of their clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the first round of the UEFA Champions League.

Slovan Bratislava suffered another defeat against Dunajská Streda, losing 0-2 in the Slovak league, marking their second consecutive loss in the competition, a streak the team has not experienced during the regular season since April 2017.

These results come at a very sensitive time, as the team is preparing to travel to Paris to face the UEFA Champions League title holders on Wednesday, September 9, in Toure's first European appearance as head coach in the competition.

Toure has recently led Slovan Bratislava to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, after overcoming Slovenian side Celje 2-1 after extra time in the second leg of the playoff round.

Despite a recent decline, the picture does not seem catastrophic for the Slovak team, which successfully reached the UEFA Champions League after a strong run in the qualifying rounds. However, facing Paris Saint-Germain represents a heavy test against the European champions of the past two seasons.
