Ounahi chooses shirt number 21 after returning to Panathinaikos

Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi has made his choice regarding the shirt number he will wear with Panathinaikos, following his official return to the team with a contract that runs until 2030.

Azzedine Ounahi signed on Wednesday to transfer to Panathinaikos from Girona, marking his return to the Greek club after previously representing them.

Panathinaikos announced this morning, Thursday, via their official social media accounts, that Azzedine Ounahi will wear the number 21 shirt during his new stint with the team.

Azzedine Ounahi's selection for this number comes after it became vacant following Ten Yedwai's move to Al Shabab, giving Ounahi the opportunity to wear the number that was not available during his previous stint with the team.

Azzedine Ounahi preferred to wear the number 8 shirt, a number he previously wore with Panathinaikos, but it is currently held by Yagosic, which led the Moroccan player to choose the number 21 instead.

Azzedine Ounahi will make his new appearance with Panathinaikos wearing the number 21 shirt, after he was unable to reclaim the number 8 he wore during his previous stint with the club.

Azzedine Ounahi's return to Panathinaikos comes with a long-term contract until 2030, in a move through which the Moroccan player aims to regain his stability and shine once again on European pitches.
