Yamal achieves historic milestone with FC Barcelona
Lamine Yamal, star of FC Barcelona, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the youngest player in the club's history to reach 50 goals with the first team, after scoring a stunning goal against Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Lamine, aged 19, entered the current season with 49 official goals for FC Barcelona, having scored goals in the 2023/2024 season, 18 in 2024/2025, and 24 during the 2025/2026 season.
Lamine scored his 50th goal in the 21st minute against Rayo Vallecano, sending a superb curled shot into the top corner.
Since his first appearance with the first team on April 29, 2023, against Real Betis, when he was 15 years old, Lamine has continued to develop impressively. He scored his first goal in October 2024 against Granada in LaLiga, and he has now reached 50 goals at the age of 19.
Lamine has scored 7 goals in his first season, then 18 goals in the following season, before reaching 24 goals last season, which is his best scoring rate up to that time, leading to him being chosen as the best player in LaLiga.
The Spanish newspaper noted that Lamine Yamal's achievement is particularly significant when compared to Johan Cruyff, who needed to reach the age of 21 to score 50 goals with FC Barcelona, while Lamine reached the same number years earlier.
