Nice officially announces the signing of Amoura

Nice have officially signed Algerian forward Mohamed Amine Amoura on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, with an option to buy.

Amoura's arrival at Nice comes as part of the club's efforts to bolster their attacking line, with the 26-year-old becoming the second experienced forward to join the team after Elye Wahi.

Amoura has expressed his happiness about moving to Nice, confirming that he has a great enthusiasm for embarking on this new experience. He pointed out his good knowledge of Ligue 1 and of Nice, alongside his ambition to contribute to achieving the team's goals during the new season.

Amoura has an impressive international record, having played 47 matches for Algeria and scored 19 goals. He previously played in Europe with Lugano in Switzerland, before shining with Union Saint-Gilloise during the 2023-2024 season, where he scored 22 goals and provided 7 assists in all competitions, contributing to the team's triumph in the Belgian Cup.

The Algerian forward then moved to Wolfsburg, where he scored 18 goals in 67 matches, including 8 goals last season, despite the German team being relegated to the second division.

Nice president Maurice Cohen welcomed the arrival of Amoura, confirming that the player received several offers before choosing to join the French club, considering that the deal reflects Nice's ongoing appeal to players.

With the addition of Amoura, Nice continues to reshape its attacking line ahead of the new season, awaiting the Algerian striker's first appearance in the team's shirt.
