Al-Zawraa achieved a resounding and well-deserved victory over their guests Zakho, winning 4-0 on Saturday evening at Al-Zawraa Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Iraqi Premier League.

Al-Zawraa started the match with intense pressure on the opponent's goal from the first minute. The team was undeniably the better side thanks to quick ball circulation and denying Zakho any chance to build an attack.

On the other hand, Zakho left many spaces and defensive mistakes, along with poor positioning from some players, which the home side exploited perfectly.

The first goal came from the standout Mohamed Qassem in the 18th minute with a stunning strike, giving the lead to "Al-Nawras" amid overwhelming joy from the fans at Al-Zawraa Stadium.

Al-Zawraa maintained the same rhythm, pressure, and possession, and the second goal didn't take long to arrive. Hiran Ahmed scored the second goal in the 37th minute with a beautiful strike, concluding the first half with an outstanding performance from the "Nawaris".

With the start of the second half, nothing has changed. The same style and the same pressure from Al-Zawraa.

The third goal came from Hiran Ahmed with a stunning strike in the 52nd minute, marking his second of the match.

In the 60th minute, returning player Hassan Abdulkarim 'Qouqia' scored the fourth goal for Al-Nawaris, confirming that the team has regained all its attacking weapons.

Things have worsened for Zakho after defender Shivan Jamil received a red card for his challenge on Al-Zawraa's Mohamed Sharif.

Before the end of the match, the referee issued a second red card in the game to Amjad Atwan of Zakho, who had come on as a substitute after protesting against the referee's decision.

With this victory, Al-Zawraa continues its impressive results following their recent 4-0 win over Naft Maysan. The team has now reached 8 points, temporarily sitting in first place, boasting the strongest attack in the league so far with 9 goals.

Zakho continues to suffer. Despite notable signings like Ali Jassim and Akam Hashim, the team remains frozen at 4 points in 14th place, having suffered a second defeat following their loss to Al-Minaa.
