Air Force Club is preparing to face their guests Naft Maysan this evening at the late Sharar Haider Stadium in the capital, Baghdad, as part of the fourth round of the Iraqi Premier League.

The match starts at 9:00 PM Baghdad time, carrying significant importance for both teams seeking redemption after a shaky beginning.

Al-Suqoor enter the match under immense pressure. The defending champions have yet to secure a victory after three rounds, having drawn all their matches so far.

The latest draw was a 1-1 against North Gas at the same stadium, a result that angered fans and the coaching staff led by Tunisian coach Fathi Jebali.

The team currently has only 3 points out of 9 and is temporarily in 14th place. This position is not befitting of the club's history and ambitions.

The Mountains and their players know that today's match is an opportunity for "redemption" with the fans. A victory will restore confidence and break the curse of a rocky start, while any other result will increase the pressure before entering the elite Asian Champions League.

The club recently announced the termination of contracts for professionals Ashraf Boudramah and Anthony Orkuma "due to lack of technical satisfaction." They are working to finalize new signings at the coach's request before the Asian registration deadline on September 4.

On the other hand, Maysan Oil is going through tough times. The team comes off a harsh loss against Al-Zawraa, suffering a 4-0 defeat in the last round at Al-Zawraa Stadium.

Maysan's team currently occupies the 18th position with only two points from nine matches, following two draws and a loss.

Despite the challenging task against the league champions, Neft Maysan's coaching staff is striving to achieve at least a positive result from Baghdad. A single point could mean a lot for the team in their battle to escape the bottom of the table.

The team knows they are up against a wounded and furious opponent, and they will try to capitalize on any defensive confusion from the "Falcons" to catch them off guard.
