Yaya Toure Makes History with Slovan Bratislava

Ivorian Yaya Touré has etched his name in golden letters in the history of the UEFA Champions League, after guiding Slovak side Slovan Bratislava to the group stage of the tournament, becoming the first African coach to achieve this milestone.

Slovan Bratislava's qualification came after their 2-1 victory over Slovenia's Celje after extra time in the second leg of the playoff round, securing the Slovak team's advancement with a 3-2 aggregate score.

Yaya Touré, the star of the Ivory Coast national team and former player for Manchester City and Barcelona, is set to begin his first experience as a head coach with Slovan Bratislava, having taken charge of the team during this summer.
