Gasperini ahead of Slovan Bratislava clash: We need to win and collect points

Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of AS Roma, has confirmed the difficulty of the upcoming match against Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League, emphasizing the need to secure a victory to enhance his team's chances of qualifying for the next round.

Gasperini spoke about the opponent: "They are a dynamic team and well-prepared physically, with some outstanding players. It is true that they are not among the top teams in the Champions League, but all matches in the tournament are tough, and we will not underestimate them, as we need to win to continue competing."

Regarding the possibility of Santiago Castro and Donyell Malen playing together in attack, the Italian coach clarified that this option is feasible, whether from the start or during the match. However, he does not want to change the team's attacking system just to include the players together, especially since AS Roma is performing well and creating many goal-scoring opportunities.

The team aims to reach around 10 or 11 points to enhance their qualification chances, which requires taking advantage of the matches they play at home, starting with the clash against Slovan Bratislava.
