North Gas Club managed to hold Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya to a 1-1 draw this evening, in the third round of the Iraqi Premier League. The match showcased a competitive spirit from both sides, with North Gas putting up a strong performance against their hosts.

From the outset, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's superiority was evident in possession and danger. The Baghdad team imposed their rhythm and threatened the visitors' goal on multiple occasions.

In contrast, Al-Ghazal North relied on falling back and defensive organization, depending on quick counterattacks to try and snatch a goal.

Despite the atmospheric pressure, Gaz Al-Shamal managed to surprise the home side. The visitors took the lead first through Reda Fadel in the 33rd minute, ending the first half with a one-goal advantage.

In the 44th minute, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya had a chance to quickly return to the game when the referee awarded a penalty, but Mohammed Jawad missed it, keeping the score unchanged.

The second half continued in the same vein with intense aerial pressure, but the match saw a crucial turning point in the 75th minute.

Gas North's midfielder received a red card, forcing the team to finish the match with ten players and retreat further to defend their lead.

Playing with ten men did not prevent North Gas from holding on, but the intense pressure from Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya ultimately bore fruit.

In the 83rd minute, captain Sadd Abdul Amir successfully leveled the score for Al-Suqoor with a set-piece, bringing the match back to square one.

Both teams tried to snatch the win in the remaining minutes, but solid defenses and mutual caution concluded the match in a 1-1 draw.

The result keeps Air Force Club trapped in a cycle of draws, as they are the only team in the Stars League that has drawn in the first three rounds without securing a victory, despite showing superiority in most periods of their matches.

North Gas managed to secure a very valuable point from the Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya stadium, even while playing with one less player for more than a quarter of an hour. Holding firm with ten players against a team of Al-Suqour's caliber provides a significant morale boost for the team ahead of the upcoming rounds.

With this draw, Al-Suqoor raised their tally to 3 points after three consecutive draws, while North Gas increased their points to two.
