Manchester United Prepares Bid for Balde, Reports Set Price

Alejandro Balde's future at Barcelona has sparked interest among English media, as the left-back is linked with a move to Manchester United, which is considered his most likely destination, despite no agreement being in place yet, with conflicting reports regarding the player's desire to leave.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" has reported that some English media outlets are discussing a potential move by Manchester United to sign Alejandro Balde. The deal is estimated to be worth between €30 and €40 million, despite the player having a contract with Barcelona until 2028 and a very high release clause.

The Guardian reported that Baldé is among the transfers that could move before the transfer window closes, as a potential solution to Manchester United's defensive problems. Sky Sports has listed him as one of the club's priority targets, noting that his absence from Barcelona's match against Elche was notable.

According to TalkSport, Manchester United is set to make a €40 million bid as manager Michael Carrick looks to bolster the left-back position, particularly to provide competition and a backup for Luke Shaw, with Balde being a more cost-effective option compared to other targets.

In the same vein, The Sun reported on the possibility of Balde's departure for around €25 million, noting that Hans Flick has excluded the player from the Elche match squad as he believes Balde needs to clear his mind, considering that the competition with João Cancelo and Gerard Martin has made his situation more difficult.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Manchester United has already been in touch regarding Alejandro Balde, but it clarified that the figures being circulated, whether €25 million, €30 million, or €40 million, do not represent a final price for the player's departure from Barcelona.
