Hamza Ekman Out of Morocco's Plans Against Gabon and Lesotho
Moroccan international Hamza Ikman has suffered another setback in his race to return to the pitch, as reports from Lille OSC indicate that the striker will continue his rehabilitation program until October due to his incomplete recovery from an injury sustained months ago.
According to circulating information, the medical staff of the French club has not given the green light for Ekman's return to competition at this time, preferring to continue his rehabilitation program until they can be certain of his recovery and completion of various stages of treatment.
The Moroccan forward is expected to undergo continuous medical monitoring in the upcoming period, with his condition set to be reassessed in October before a final decision is made regarding his return to training and matches.
Ikeman's continued absence means the Lille forward will not be available for the Moroccan national team at the end of next month, when they face Gabon and Lesotho in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
These developments further delay Ikeman's return to competition, as he awaits complete recovery and medical clearance to rejoin his team and the Atlas Lions.
