Portuguese coach Jose Mourais of Sharjah spoke about his team's anticipated clash against Al Jazira in the second round of the ADNOC Pro League, expressing his desire to continue competing at a high level.
Sharjah will meet Al Jazira next Sunday in the second round of the Adnoc Pro League.
During the press conference ahead of the match, the coach expressed his desire to maintain good competition levels and improve team performance. He added that the team is preparing to face a respected opponent with good capabilities, expecting the match to be exciting and enjoyable, while also being challenging for both teams.
Regarding the role that Luiz Pereira will play in the match, the coach preferred not to disclose any technical details. He added, "I want to make the opponent think a little about where Luiz will play," emphasizing that the player is an important asset for the team wherever he participates on the pitch.
Mourais stressed the crucial importance of the match against Al Jazira as it marks the second stage in the league journey, pointing out that the opponent's familiarity with the capabilities of Sharjah players will not create a definitive advantage for them; due to the usual annual changes, the addition of new faces, and the growth of understanding and tactical links among team members over time.
The Sharjah coach stated that the team's focus at this stage is on continuing to compete at a good level, working to improve performance quality and enhance understanding among players, noting that the importance of matches will gradually increase as the season advances.
