Al Ittihad Secures AFC Champions League Spot with 4-0 Win Over Al Jazira

Al Ittihad has secured their qualification for the league stage of the 2026-2027 AFC Champions League, having overcome Al Jazira of the UAE with a score of 4-1 in their match on Tuesday evening.

Steven Bergwijn opened the scoring for Ittihad in the 12th minute, benefiting from a cross coming in from the right side, which he converted directly into the net of the Emirati team.

Al-Jazira tried to respond quickly, and Milson nearly equalized in the 18th minute with a powerful and impressive shot, but it went over the crossbar, keeping the advantage with the Union.

Bergwijn continued to impress, adding Al Ittihad's second goal in the 38th minute with a shot from outside the box that the Al Jazira goalkeeper couldn't stop.

Union entered the second half with a clear advantage, and Hossam Aouar succeeded in extending the score with the third goal in the 54th minute, converting a cross from the left side into the net.

Yenz Vesting made his first substitution in the 65th minute, introducing Marwan Al-Sahafi in place of Moussa Diaby, allowing the substitute to make an immediate impact.

Marwan Al-Sahafi scored the fourth goal for Ittihad in the 69th minute, capitalizing on a low cross from Youssef En-Nesyri, and skillfully placing the ball into the net past Al-Jazira.

Simone Banza reduced the deficit for Al-Jazira in the 80th minute, scoring his team's first goal. However, his effort did not change the course of the match or the identity of the qualifier.
